Training description
Enlisting the support of others for your policy, plans or vision. Realising your own power of persuasion and how to use it successfully. The right support for your point of view or recommendation? Seeing through the other person's argument quickly in order to provide an immediate response? This is what you want in discussions and meetings: others will share your point of view or accept your recommendation. The training "Personal Power: How to influence people" will increase your ability to win others over.
Target group
The training programme is intended for highly educated and demanding professionals who are eager to master the art of influence and presenting arguments.
Results
After completing the training, you will be able to convince others of your standpoint more easily than before. This is the result of being able to prepare your own arguments better. Additionally, you will be able to quickly see through counterarguments, and respond to them adequately. You will project more self-confidence, and present your point of view in a more compelling manner. Others will perceive you as being an alert and engaging conversationalist.

- How does it work and what is the best approach?
Approach
- Complete questionnaire beforehand and prepare short persuasive argument.

Detailed
"I will never forget this one day of the training: I jumped the queue in the store, in a phone conversation with that annoying co-worker, she told me I was right straight away, and I don't have to cook any more this week!" "Persuasion is more than just changing someone's mind: from now on, I'm curious!" Two participants in "Personal Power: How to influence people" share their opinions after the training was over. The training starts with the Model of Influence, and you will also practice at home or at work, applying all of the tools you have acquired. Content alone is not enough... In this training, we help you broaden your repertoire of skills. Oftentimes, your professional expertise or sharp insight into the topic of your discussion is enough. However, there are situations which call for more. Whereas you might normally be able to persuade your co-workers without batting an eye, suddenly, you encounter resistance from all sides. We help you identify what you are already skilled at, and areas you can add to this skills set. Based on our vision that everyone should build on what they're good at, we provide you with insight and tips. This might be vocal drama techniques, insights from the field of neuropsychology, rhetorical tips or psychological insights. Trainers pull out all the stops, helping you to get started the day after. ... Often, the content may even be more well-defined. During each training we give, we notice that people who have a good command of the content can still benefit from the insights and tools provided by a specialised argumentation trainer. You will be given a very strong model for determining which arguments you need. After the "Personal Power: How to influence people" training, you will be able to convince others more easily, and increase your influence and power of persuasion in conversations, networking and other self-promotion discussions, meetings, presentations and negotiations.
